The season is ending and finally two minor and unlikeable characters are saying goodbye. For one side, Claudia put things where they belong making the trick that will kick Grace out of the Salinger's lives. After the idiot of Charlie and the selfish Grace lie pretending they are a family only to gain votes through a newspaper, Claudia tricks her to spend time with them and Owen in a museum. Grace thinks there's a reporter waiting but there's no one so she wants to leave because if not it's a waste of time. So Claudia reveals she made it all up to prove the point that Grace doesn't care or like them, any of the siblings. I imagine, how happy and joyful Kirsten would be in the museum with Claudia and Owen, she would be happily driving them for all the place, holding him, playing with both of them and buying icecream because she loves them as much as if they were her own childs. Surely, now Claudia misses Kirsten more than never. When Charlie finds out what Claudia did, he unfairly yells at her, but Claudia defends herself telling that Grace doesn't like them, not even close as Kirsten did, and that Kirsten loved to be a part of their family (he should have said why Claudia called Kirsten's parents then but I know she totally regrets it). Charlie initially remains blind but at the end he starts to realize what Claudia says. Finally, Grace starts to say goodbye. Once again, Claudia proves to be the best character of the show, this wonderful person that says exactly what I would, being the voice of the truth. Going out the story, I have nothing personal against Tamara Taylor, but probably she recognizes too that her character in this series is bad. Besides, Charlie was completely gone here, the Father and Husband I've seen usually in the series is lost.
Meanwhile, Sarah starts dating a med student Drew, although she still helps Bailey. He realizes that Callie wasn't there for him when he needed (she doesn't do sick) and tells her this, so she tries to help him now (she wants to get rid of Sarah). But also, with Sarah's influence, Bailey realizes that Callie and the dorm are reasons to drink, so he moves out back to the house. It's the truth, Callie can't help him, she will always be the Other Woman, the cheater, and the link to the dorm, the bad place. Still, she was right about something: she thought Bailey was a different guy, a good one, but he hurt her like no one else did (she let that happen too). The scene when Bailey finds Sarah and Drew was outstanding, she once more showed kindness to him canceling the date to stop Bailey of drinking again. And he was really tempted, seeing her with another guy. Then, when Callie confronts Sarah, she couldn't get that Sarah is doing this only for kindness and not for herself. This was a great story and Callie's gone.
To finish, Griffin did the right thing, he stopped Julia's failing at school, he doesn't want to change her. It wasn't an amazing story, was just good enough. He was ok being the humble guy and she the smart one. Their last scene was happy for them but at the same time shows that Julia is leaving her family.
