The headliners in this one are Carolyn Jones and George Nader. The two are employees of a small bank in a middle sized city. Nader has taken a shine to Jones but keeps getting the brush off. Nader then discovers that Jones has been doctoring the books and helping herself to bank funds.
When Nader confronts Jones with this bit of info Jones becomes much more receptive to his advances. Nader admits to doing a bit of the same during his time as an accountant for various banks. This happy state of affairs ends when Fay Roope, the bank owner's son returns from South America. Jones and Roope quickly become a nightly item on the local club scene. Nader is needless to say not amused.
Nader plans a big a job where the bank assets will be severally lightened and Roope while be the patsy. Nader tells Jones his idea. He tells her that they will have plenty of cash to split the country with. Brazil here we come! Jones agrees to the deal.
Now we find out that Jones and Roope are really undercover detectives. They are trying to prove Nader had killed a bank manager before, doing the same stunt. The two make a slight error and Nader tumbles to who they are. Weapons are produced and a gun battle in a darkened bank ensues. There will be no court date for Nader as he collects an overabundance of lead.
This episode features a neat little story with the screenplay supplied by James Gunn. Gunn wrote the screenplay for BORN TO KILL.
