William Boyett, who has one scene as a motorcycle cop, some ten years later played Martin Milner and Kent McCord's police sergeant on the long-running TV seriesAdam-12 (1968), and before that he was in 65 episodes of Highway Patrol (1955) as Sgt. Williams.
You may recognize Malcolm Atterbury, who plays neighbor and witness Sam Burris - he was part of one of the most famous scenes in movie history. In the 1959 Hitchcock classic North by Northwest (1959), Atterbury was the man who encountered Cary Grant at a rural highway crossing and told him: "That's funny. That crop duster is dusting where there ain't no crops..."
