Enid Griffin tried to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills after reading that Stewart Brent had married someone else. About ten months after this episode first aired, the actor who played Stewart Brent, Grant Withers, committed suicide by overdosing on barbiturates.
At approximately 8:35 Stewart Brent (Grant Withers) reaches over to use his intercom but pauses when he finds the right-hand talk lever is already in the up (talk) position. During this pause a close-up clearly shows a strip of light colored tape covering the intercom's model name on the front of the unit. The same tape is also covering the right-hand talk lever which is ordinarily the same dark color and material as the round volume (left-hand) knob.
