While the Perry Mason series revolved around fictitious murders, ironically one of this episode's guest stars was charged with attempted murder in real-life. Victoria Vetri, a.k.a. Angela Dorian (who plays Debbie Conrad) was charged in 2011 after shooting her husband in 2010. After this was reduced to attempted voluntary manslaughter, she was convicted and wound up going to prison for more than six years.
