One of two appearances by Richard Anderson as different characters before taking on the role of Lt. Steve Drumm in the final season.
The last of five appearances in the series by Melora Conway.
Many of the locations seen in this episode are on the Universal Studios backlot, including the gazebo where the candidate debate was filmed. The gazebo also served as the setting for Don Knotts' hilariously nervous speech to the citizens of Rachel, Kansas in The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966).
The large semicircular window seen on the left side of the court chamber was later used as part of the main set in Raymond Burr's follow-up series, Ironside (1967).
Seven years later Richard Anderson would appear as an overbearing controlling elder brother in Lady in Waiting (1971). However in that story, the overbearing elder brother was the murder victim.
