A police car follows a suspect's car. The shots inside the police car indicate it is night time. When the police car pulls over the other car it is broad daylight.
The episode begins with the theft of diamonds from the settings of a pre-Columbian statue. Pre-Columbian jewelry never utilized diamonds, as pre-Columbian civilizations lacked the technology to cut and polish them.
The policemen who pull over Van Ness do not use phonetics when radioing about the license number (the same goes for the dispatcher). The plate letters should have been announced phonetically as "Adam Lincoln Edward" instead of "A-L-E".
Van Ness claimed to have gone to the post office to pick up a shipment after his night flight landed. Police suggest contacting post office employees- but no employees would've been available to confirm Van Ness was there after 5:00pm.
When the police open the trunk and discover the body, the eyelids of "corpse" clearly move in a closed eye blinking motion.
The thief in the opening scene uses a grasping tool to steal the diamonds. When he uses that same tool to replace the real stones with the fake ones. He puts some putty that is to hold the stone in place, on the tool first. And then he applies the stone. That is in the wrong order. If he wants the stone to stick he would have to put the stone first and the putty. So the putty can be pushed against the statue until it adheres. And the tool could then release the stone. He did this the other way around. The adhesive would have to be the last thing put on the tool. Not the first.
