A unique final episode to the series in which Craig Stevens, as Peter Gunn, provided narration throughout the story.
Robert Gist, who directed many episodes of this series, appears in an on-screen role as eccentric millionaire Cesar Carlyle. Also, Gordon Oliver, who was executive producer of the entire series, appears as the sinister heavy, Arthur McCutchen.
Actor Craig Stevens, who played Peter Gunn, was not out of work long after CBS terminated the series. He was signed in August 1961 to star in a new hour-long series filmed in England and produced by Incorporated Television Company (ITC), "Man of the World," as a a high-flying photo-journalist whose business takes him to every corner of the world and of society. Unfortunately, an actors strike in the United Kingdom that lasted six months ended production of the series and lasted only one season.
Strangely, this program aired among the group of shows that were rebroadcast during the summer and fall after CBS canceled the series.
