An Amish girl is raped. She recognizes her attacker. He is arrested but he refuses to press charges because the Amish leaders tell her not to. It flies in the face of their religion. So he is released and immediately rapes a teenager. The Amish are sued by her family and the state versus religion becomes a serious case. I thought all parties handled this quite well.
