"Spitfire" is an unusual story because it involves the police working with the ATF. Why? Because one of their cases involves a suspect selling machine guns without a license...an ATF case because it violates federal gun laws.
The big name guest star in this episode is Hugh O'Brian. He's actually pretty funny to watch today as he's the epitome of the disco era--with a while leisure suit, a shirt unbuttoned to nearly his navel, gold chains and sunglasses. It's the sort of outfit young people watch and laugh at us oldsters for having had back in the day!
Overall, it's a decent episode without all the usual us vs. Them posturing, as the detectives and federal agent actually get along and work together well. Worth your time.
