Even a liar and multiply convicted guy deserves a fair trial.

Allie Kilgore...glib.

In reality, tough to imagine public defender spending this much time on the case.

' "A Pair of Gloves" is a most unusual story for "The Public Defender" because it is humorous...something you normally do NOT associate with this show nor its star, Reed Hadley. Because of this, it's a nice change of pace.

When the story begins, Allie Kilgore is being arrested....again. It seems that three times in the past, Bart Mathews defended him...and all three times he was found guilty and went to prison. However, this three-time loser insists that in this case he's innocent. The problem is that when Mathews investigates both leads given by Allie, both end up being dead ends and Mathews begins to feel that he's being used. But, despite this, he is a good lawyer and doesn't just give up...though at times, it's tempting with this client!

As I mentioned above, the humorous aspects of the case make this one worth seeing. Not exactly brilliant but well worth seeing.
