Erich Bachman calls the police and tells them that he has just killed a man. Matthews is appointed his attorney but Bachman will say nothing in his own defense. But later, a government agent meets with Mathews and gives him the background. Bachman and his sister Wanda are refugees from an East Germany type country. Wanda falls for a slick character named Hans Oberlander, a character that Erich takes a dislike to. Wanda works for a big electronics company and Oberlander tells Wanda that he can get her father to America if she will steal company secrets. Wanda does the right thing and goes to the Feds but the scheme to trap Oberlander does not go smoothly. Of note in this episode are the stalwart Douglas Kennedy as government agent Jeff Thomas and Jan Merlin (playing his usual sleazy character) as Oberlander.
