This episode takes place in May 1912.
In the opening scene, Quentin is in a Harvard classroom with other professors drawing on a blackboard the basics of creating a TV signal. The men deem it preposterous.
Scottish inventor John Logie Baird would publicly demonstrate his mechanical television at London's Selfridge's department store during the week of March 25, 1925 -14 years after Quentin's blackboard drawings.
However, it is not implied that his drawings are of a mechanical television or an all electronic television. Philo Farnsworth would later demonstrate his first working device on September 7, 1927.
