For me the Trilogy episodes will always be the best of the best of Quantum leap and probably of any tv shows ever. Such emotional episodes, Sam has to leap 3 times to save Abigail's life...these three episodes have it all: set in the South, the prejudice and consequences of townfolk gossips, family tragedy passed on from one generation to the next, the love for Abigail as a little girl first that we want to protect...stopping this curse and righting this wrong, the mystery behind Abigail's mother and the disappearance of Violet. I don't know why exactly but these episodes have always had an impact on me and a deep connection. It was the only time Quantum Leap had Sam leap several times in the life of a single person and I think it planted the seed for the leap back home. Had the series continued and had another season to end it as the writers intended before it was suddenly canceled, we would probably have had Sammy Jo rescuing Sam and bringing him back home.
