- Pete Nolan: When beeves start heading for Sedalia on their own, I'm gonna quit.
- Gil Favor: They start going on their own, you're fired.
- Pete Nolan: Your scout, huh? I guess you know you're going into Comanche country in about ten miles?
- Binnaburra: Wrong.
- Pete Nolan: What do you mean wrong?
- Binnaburra: Wrong! Comanche all 'round here.
- Johnny Adler: 200 cows. $10 a hide. That's a stake. As soon as he splits with Favor, when he's off on his own, that's the time.
- Chief Tawyawp: Woman for sale?
- Richard Goffage: For sale?
- Chief Tawyawp: Give 2 knives, 2 guns.
- Gil Favor: No.
- Chief Tawyawp: Three guns.
- Ruthanne Harper: Must say I'm very flattered. Feel like the belle of the ball.
- Richard Goffage: It's not so funny, Dolly.
- Chief Tawyawp: Four guns.
- Gil Favor: Not even for 100 guns.
- Johnny Adler: I'm staying with you.
- Gil Favor: No, you're not, Johnny.
- Johnny Adler: You got a reason?
- Gil Favor: I'm the boss of this outfit. I don't need another drover. And that's reason enough.
- Johnny Adler: Well I'll give you a better reason. Like this!
- [He takes a swing at Mr Favor which Gil ducks but he manages to slug Johnny real hard]
- Gil Favor: Now will you get out.
- Ruthanne Harper: Oh no.
- Johnny Adler: Thank you, Mr Favor. I'll go. I'll go out but I'll be back. I'll be back so you can do that again. You'll want to see how it comes out next time.
- Binnaburra: I have a thing to tell you.
- Richard Goffage: Are you worried about that woman? Now, listen, cobber, I know you don't like her. I know you're afraid she'll lure me down to the city and it'll be quits for you and me. But that'll never happen. I told you from the beginning and I'll tell you again. It'll be the three of us on the finest cattle run you ever saw. All right?
- Teddy: Wait a minute, Jim. I think I see what you're doing wrong. Now look. Try turning your wrist over before you let it go. See.
- Rowdy Yates: I have turned it over and under and inside out and it still goes as straight as a bullet.
- Teddy: Now I'll show you what I mean. Stand back.
- [His throw of the boomerang goes all of three yards]
- Teddy: Well, we know one thing, it ain't the wrist.
- Pete Nolan: Bunch of two year old kids throwing 'em crooked things around.
- Teddy: Can you do it?
- Pete Nolan: I wouldn't waste my time.
- [Wish makes a perfect throw and his crooked thing comes back to him]
- Richard Goffage: I think I know what you mean, Mr Favor. You mean this is a bad match. That I'm making a mistake. I think that what you see is a woman who doesn't love me. Well, I see something else as well. I see toughness and loyalty. I see a need to settle down, take care of a house, have some kids. She was willing to marry me without love. I think that maybe love will come in time. By the way, Mr Favor, did you know she was proved innocent of that charge in El Paso?
- Gil Favor: You knew about that, huh?
- Richard Goffage: I knew about that before I asked her to marry me.
- Gil Favor: Y'know I got the feeling that you two are gonna come out all right after all.
- Richard Goffage: So long as Mr Adler doesn't come riding back again, huh? Incidentally, thanks for getting rid of him.
- Gil Favor: Oh, that was my pleasure.
- Richard Goffage: Get him! Get him! What are you waiting for? Throw that boomerang, will you! Throw it, will ya! Throw it!
- [Binnaburra misses]
- Richard Goffage: We gotta get after 'em, Mr Favor!
- Gil Favor: It's no use, not in the dead of night.
- Richard Goffage: You never missed a mark that easy before! You wanted to miss! You wanted to get rid of her!
- Gil Favor: Take it easy, Goffage.
- Richard Goffage: You wanted to miss. You wanted to get rid of her! It's true, isn't it? Isn't it?
- Gil Favor: Take it easy.
- Richard Goffage: It's the animals I want to show you the most. Koalas sitting up in a tall tree eating his eucalyptus leaves, the platypus, the emu. Wait 'til you see the feathers I'll take from an emu to make you a bonnet.
- Ruthanne Harper: You really are full of plans, aren't you, Richard?
- Richard Goffage: I could plan for you, Dolly, all the day and all the night and never reach the end.
- Ruthanne Harper: I don't know why you're so good to me.
- Richard Goffage: I think it's the other way 'round.
- Ruthanne Harper: No, it isn't. i haven't even given you honesty.
- Richard Goffage: About what?
- Ruthanne Harper: Tell me about the baby kangaroos. What did my uncle call them?
- Richard Goffage: Joeys.
- Ruthanne Harper: Tell me about the joeys.
- Wishbone: She'll take that poor man for every nickel he's got.
- Rowdy Yates: Almost worth it too.
- Wishbone: You hear that? Now how do you know he'll stop at Goffage? Given half a chance she'll swindle her way through this crew like a plague.
- Gil Favor: What do you want to do? Turn them loose in Comanche territiry?
