After a night of carousing where he really tied one on, Steve Raines wakes up hung over in a stable and near the body of the town's leading citizen. He gets
himself arrested for the murder of the deceased, but the town is in a lynching
mood. Good thing Eric Fleming and some of the drovers are there to protect
Quince because sheriff Judson Pratt would be of no help.
Saloon owner Beverly Garland knows the truth and when she speaks it she confirms what is rather obvious to the viewer. No suspense here, but Garland delivers a nice performance.
