- Kryten struggles to come to terms with being classified as a woman and having to shower with the female prisoners. The male prisoners take advantage and reprogram Kryten into broadcasting Shower Night live, endangering Lister's appeal.
- Kill Crazy reprograms Kryten, and Kryten puts on "Krytie TV" a pirate entertain show for the convicts, where Kryten goes into the women's shower room and exposes the naked bodies of the female convicts including Kochanski, after making the mistake of revealing that he showers with the female convicts, after being placed in the Women's wing of the prison. Rimmer and Lister have been given a retrial, and Kryten endangers their only chance of freedom, when he sets up Lister by messing up Mr. Ackerman's sleeping quarters.—Daniel Williamson
- The mail has arrived for Lister and Rimmer, the latter opens a letter addressed to Lister from Peterson, he's found Lister's guitar in the wreckage of Starbug and is sending it to his cell. Rimmer despises that guitar as Lister is an awful player. The guitar arrives but the strings have been removed, as per prison regulations, to prevent hanging of any inmates, the delivery guard gives a letter to Lister detailing a good behavior appeal, should he be successful, he and fellow inmates would profit, which is good news for Lister and Rimmer.
Two days later, the Canaries return from a mission, Kryten is telling Lister the shame of being classified as a woman and having to reside with the female inmates, even showering with them. This news gets the attention of the male Canaries, Kill Crazy offers to let Kryten smuggle a camera in and film the women, Rimmer, however is uncharacteristically against it as Lister's appeal would be at stake. Kryten refuses to commit such a scandalous ploy.
The Canaries are called to an announcement from Warden Ackerman, he was mugged the previous night and his glass eye was taken, he orders it returned for his date on Saturday night or all Canary privileges are suspended for a month, Rimmer informs on the perpetrator as it would help the appeal. After the announcement Kryten is knocked out and reprogrammed. The inmates are in the prison movie theater viewing schlock horror movies which are interrupted by a new feature hosted by Kryten, Women's Shower Night, he has smuggled in a camera to film them secretly, Kill Crazy was the one whom reprogrammed him, Lister and Rimmer are intrigued but realize the danger the show presents, to the appeal and Lister's relationship with Kochanski. Especially as Kryten is running it as a Pay-Per-View feature and the inmates are now donating. Lister and Rimmer go to leave but reseat when Kryten announces a special segment with Kochanski.
Kryten has become a wealthy figure within the prison, Lister tries to talk him out of continuing, however, Kryten is enjoying his status. Kochanski walks in and Lister breaks the news of the Shower Night show, Kryten hurries out, Kochanski yells after him, but she is also upset with Lister for staying for the whole duration.
Back in Lister's cell Rimmer enters with promising appeal updates, Lister is writing an apology letter to Kochanski along with two bags of flour (his logic is as he lacks easy access to a florist, they substitute for flowers/flours.) Kryten enters with luggage, the females learned of Shower Night, jumped him, rebooted his systems and kicked him out.
Kryten relays some bad news to Lister, Kochanski is dating her ex-boyfriend Tim, a chef. Kryten has a plan to get Lister and Kochanski back together that involves playing a prank on Tim. Kryten presents a suitcase of random junk to litter around Tim's room, one of which is a pair of scissors, his "piece de resistance" as he calls it.
Lister goes to the location leaving various garbage in strategic places and uses the scissors to snip his pubic hairs, scattering them around the room. However, as he leaves through the door he sees Kryten filming the whole scene live to the inmates with Rimmer among them. He duped Lister into believing Kochanski was dating Tim that night, when in fact the room is Warden Ackerman's quarters, Lister and Rimmer panic and the latter rushes to the scene. They break back into the room, cleaning everything up and make it out in time to the acclaim of the inmates, Lister and Rimmer then chase Kryten to reset him to normal again.
In the cells Lister receives the appeal results, it is a success, Rimmer reads the letter and discovers to his horror the appeal was all about Lister being permitted to have strings on his guitar.
