The episode opens with a nerdy young guy apparently covered in blood. It turns out to be hair dye. The nerdy man, Sheldon Quarry is the information guy working for the CIA and a beautiful blond woman is out to kill him, worse still he is due to get married and his father in law to be is not too happy that he has gone missing.

Sheldon turns to Remington Steele for help, after all he is a CIA legend and might get to the bottom of who in the agency wants him dead.

For a moment you actually might be led to believe that the mysterious Remington Steele was a CIA spook. You also get a little insight that the man playing Steele has some heart as he gives a sugar coated tale to young Sheldon who wants to have a live as exciting and daring as Steele's.

The episode was written by Glenn Gordon Caron who later went on to create the more superior Moonlighting.
