Steele Trap

Steele Trap is now very much to the series formula now. Murphy gets sidelined after an acidic exchange of words with Steele, there is banter and flirtation between Laura and Remington Steele and usually a death to investigate where Laura has the ideas to do the actual investigation and Steel uses his charm and knowledge of classic movies.

When a plastic surgeon who had an appointment to visit the detective agency is found dead. Steele takes an opportunity to go down a party island where the surgeon was due to visit.

Steele pretends to be the plastic surgeon, but the guests at the Devil's Playground party are soon being killed off one by one.

Steele believes that the tropes of the classic Agatha Christie film, And Then There Were None are at play here. Laura even decides to fake her own death.

In some ways the episode was similar thematically to the previous episode 'In the Steele of the night' where the guests are in a confined space and then someone is killed. The episode moved at a brisk space but the ending felt a little too neat and quick.
