Good chemistry between the actors
To get some kissing scenes with a beautiful woman, Chuck Connors has to write his own episode in the series and actually did a very nice job. The episode begins as an older man is killed by his son in order to get an inheritance. But there is still one person that is set to inherit some of the property and it is none other than a friend of Lucas McCain named Ann Dodd.
Lucas knows Ann from years ago as she was friends with his deceased wife. They have not seen each other for years and she is stopping by North Fork on her way to her Uncle's place. While in North Fork, Lucas is enamored with the beautiful Ann and it seems that she returns the feeling. But while staying at the North Fork hotel, the son of the dead uncle wants to make sure that Ann does not get any of the inheritance. Ann does not know but she is going to be visited by the son with another death on his mind.
An enjoyable episode that the viewer wished would never end. It would have been nice to see Lucas get a woman but I guess the producers wanted this to be a father and son series to the very end. Christine White was excellent as the visiting Ann and the chemistry she had with Chuck Connors was evident on the screen. Another nice watch.
NOTE- some odd dialog. At the very beginning when Mark and Lucas are getting ready to meet the stage, Mark said that he thought they were going fishing that morning. When they meet the stage, Mark all of the sudden has to go to school. --- When Mark and Ann are drying the dishes and Ann says she will stay another day, Mark wants to stay-up saying there is no school tomorrow. Yet when she is leaving on the stage Mark says the teacher let him out early.
