Heshimu Kumbuka always did a wonderful job on this show playing Jason. He was a tough street kid but had a heart of gold under the rough exterior. This episode is one of the best of the series because it deals with a subject that is still topical today-air pollution. Jason and his friend Richie really get into their cause and want to do a public service announcement however their good hearted intentions meet cold reality when they find out how much it will cost. Once again good old Pete Dixon steps in to save the day being their spokesman. Even though the message he delivers is written in ghetto kid slang it is still very powerful. Room 222 is a classic that has stood the test of time.

Air Pollution

Pete assigns a project to Richie and Jason about the message of air pollution.
An OK show. It is always good to see brainy Richie and angry Jason work together. They have a good scene when they go to the TV station to buy time for their smog commercial. Funniest scene is when Richie has to tell Jason that he can't be the on air announcer, saying that he will scare people. Pete agrees to do it for them.
