A company called Automation West offers teacher Pete Dixon a lucrative job shoulders above his teacher's salary to work with kids in danger of dropping out. This is the plot of this episode that fortunately doesn't have the laugh track (they finally got rid of it thank God!). The one thing that got me about this episode is the way Kaufman acts all right Pete's a good teacher but Kaufman does everything except cry and get down upon his knees begging him to stay they really made it overdramatic. I don't think in real life that his students would have acted like that either. In the end Pete deliberately blows the test because he decides he likes teaching better then paperwork.

Pete Gets Another Job Offer
Jimmy_the_Gent411 January 2021
Pete is offered a lucrative job with a company that works with high school dropouts.
A good episode, starting with this one, the laugh track is finally eliminated. Mr Kaufman and Liz don't want to lose a good teacher like Pete. Richie and Jason have a good scene together where Richie believes that Mr Dixon would never leave and the more cynical Jason says he would do it for the money. Frank Campanella guest stars as the company man who offers Pete the job.
