This episode marks the first appearance of the new Corvette Sting Ray.
Gaslight Square occupied the area surrounding Olive and Boyle streets in the Central West End in the 1950s and 1960s. It was known for the youthful attractions and the music clubs along with the gaslights used to light the area. The area featured traditional and modern jazz in taverns, cabarets, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and antique shops. By the 1990s, this was all gone and has since been reclaimed for other purposes such as high-end housing.
The shooting schedule must have been fairly far in advance of the release and showing date, as not only is this the first appearance of the 1963 Sting Ray, it is the first appearance of any 1963 model cars. In the introduction, a 1963 Impala convertible is seen parked on the street. While this was broadcast November 30, 1962, the 1963 Sting Ray was in the dealers' showrooms on Friday, September 28, 1962, two months earlier. This indicates the shows were filmed about two months in advance based on the cars on the street.
