With Bob Newhart as the special guest star of this edition of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In", you can bet quite a bit of the sketches have him pretending to be on the phone! One funny bit has him trying to get the props for the "Twelve Days of Christmas" number in which quite a few of them are cut down items! He also plugs a couple of his movies that were coming out at the time: Cold Turkey and Catch-22 which one of the cast members refers as "Catch-44" because of the number of times she's seen it! I very much enjoyed this particular ep of "Laugh-In" especially when Alan Sues once again impersonates former cast member Jo Anne Worley when doing the "news" theme and her other shtick!
