This ep of "Laugh-In" had appearances by Mayor Sam Yorty and Gore Vidal

Warning: Spoilers
Here's what's in this ep of "Laugh-In": The show does a story of Los Angeles mayor Sam Yorty who the show keeps referencing as often on vacation so there are a lot of scenes of people saying "If only Sam was here." He does, however, do a scene with Dan & Dick each. Gore Vidal also appears once again referencing his book Myra Breckinridge. The Mod, Mod World segment does one on cigarette advertising of which TV had banned such several days earlier of this show's initial broadcast. So there's a sketch which references many of the brand names and several on how dangerous to one's health such a habit is! There's also appearances by Dinah Shore, Ricardo Montalban, Phyllis Diller, and Johnny Carson who appears with Dan & Dick talking about him wearing a "wig"! Also, he later encounters Lily Tomlin's fast-talking lady! Oh, and announcer Gary Owens plays a mixed-up statue throughout! This was quite a very funny ep of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In"!
