Hall And Oates Guest Stars

The first scene is a commercial for Edison chewing gum with Luciano Pavarotti.

There is a great Sammy Maudlin Show which begins with Bittman arguing with a heckler. He then tells Sammy that he just directed his first film called Chariots Of Eggs, he insists it was not inspired by Chariots Of Fire even though this is about two runners. He has cast Darryl Hall and John Oates in the leads. They perform their hit Did It In A Minute and join the guys on the couch.Hall and Oates were big fans of SCTV and wanted to be guests on the Maudlin show. Bittman (sounding like a pretentious Hollywood director) also talks about two women in the film, who are in a lesbian relationship, which is a parody of the recent film Personal Best. Andrea Martin plays Dutch, the butch woman and Catherine O'Hara the more feminine one. LaRue has a funny commercial where he claims he has a tank where you can get away from all your problems. However his place is loaded with scantily clad women and TVs playing the Three Stooges.

The next segment is Walter Cronkite and David Brinkley reporting on a NASA production of the play Murder In The Cathedral. NASA astronauts act the play in their space suits. O'Hara plays Katherine Hepburn, waiting in the bar and criticizing the play.

The next episode of The Days Of The Week introduces a new character, Sue Ellen (O'Hara) Clay's promiscuous girl friend. Harrington puts the moves on May Matlock. Rocco shows up at Mrs McKay's house but Violet and Mojo are suspicious.

There is a hilarious commercial of Ethel Merman belting out soft rock songs like Feelings. Great White North has Bob and Doug talking about twist off caps on beer bottles in America. Doug says this is because American beer has less alcohol. Another funny commercial is Mr Boom Microphone, where you can break the ice at parties or pick up women with a boom mike.

There is a funny Mrs Falbo sequence dedicated to the letter "P". So they go to a maximum security prison. Mrs Falbo and Mr Messenger try a version of Folsom Prison Blues but the prisoners riot and make a break.

There is a commercial for Wheelbarrow World with sleazy Nick Hedges. Then we get a parody of Candid Camera type shows with Revenge, a show where people get revenge on someone they are annoyed at.

Butchers Carl and Fred Scutz show film editing with a meat cleaver. The last scene is Guy talking about if SCTV will become political.
