Two Classic Movies Are Spoofed

The first sketch is Count Floyd introducing Dr Tongue's Evil House Of Pancakes. Then we get a promo for Give Em Hell Bess with Mrs Prickley as Elizabeth I.

There is a Farm Film Report and Big Jim and Billy Sol welcome guest Brooke Shields. They promise not to blow her up but when she does an off key rendition of the Rod Stewart song Young Turks, she DOES blow up. Jim and Billy then introduce the musical guest The Boomtown Rats. They lip synch their song Never In A Million Years and blow up.

Gerry Todd encourages people to look more at the real world than video. Bob and Doug give a geography lesson.

Bill Needle has a new talk show Shoot For The Stars. His first guest is Rupert Holmes (Eugene Levy) who had a hit with The Pina Colada Song. Needle accuses him of turning little kids into drunks and throws him out of the studio. Next guest is jazz trumpeter Chuck Mangione (Rick Moranis), Needle says he is dressed like a pimp and kicks him out too.

Next is a very funny To Sir With Love parody called Teacher's Pet. Ricardo Montalban is the new teacher at a tough London school. Catherine O'Hara plays the Judy Geeson part and Andrea Martin is Lulu. Boomtown Rats lead singer Bob Geldof plays the class troublemaker. The Rats play another song Elephant's Graveyard at the year end school dance. Martin sings the Teacher's Pet title song.

Next is a classic from the early years with a Ben Hur lampoon. John Candy plays the title role with a Curly Howard voice. Eugene Levy and Dave Thomas as centurians do an Abbott and Costello routine and they talk about Hur being a him. Ben Hur's mother and sister end up in a "leopard" colony.

Final sketch is another old one, The Lone Ranger Show. The Lone Ranger and Tonto host this parody of the Tonight Show.
