Wish I knew what thoughtless person changed all the episode titles to Roman numerals because it's made it a real pain to find the episode you're looking for, these episodes have actual names, and this one is called "The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful." Anyway I really love this one, mainly for the two bounty hunters it features, they're some of the most fun and interesting ones ever to try their hand at bagging the samurai. Their designs are so cool, especially the sassy femme fatale, and to say they only ever appear in this one story, the voice actors did an amazing job of giving them a lot of colourful and hilarious personality, and you soon get why they make such an effective team when they're truly working together, as well as why they got divorced! They may have actually been able to successfully beat Jack it it wasn't for the more backstabbing nature of one of them. I love the aesthetic of this episode, it's futuristic yet has the old Wild West style going on at the same time and that's one of the greatest things about this show, it had a brilliant ability to make any kind of style and tone it wanted and make it work, and this one is no exception. I also love the music that gradually increases in tempo along with the action until at the end when they're battling it out on top of the high speeding train with the vast wasteland surrounding it, it sounds in sync with the noise of the tracks! This is one of my favourites, I think it's excellent, it's funny, it's a ride that goes non stop, and it even brings a little Southern charm to the varied tonal roster of the show. Great fun, a very well deserved 10 woohoo widget women out of 10!!! X
