"Grady and His Lady" finds Grady Wilson all ready to get married, to a girl he met at J.C. Penney, Dolly Simpson (Norma Miller, last of three). One look at her and Sanford and Son have to excuse themselves to laugh at Grady's choice of fiancée. Fred needs a drink after she thanks him for taking care of Grady at nights. The prospect of being best man means he'll be the first one to kiss the bride: "I'd rather kiss Mighty Joe Young's armpits!" Lamont unintentionally provides the inspiration for Fred's attempt to stop his best friend from getting married by playing Lothario for Dolly. He serves hors d'oeuvres, but that's not how he pronounces it: "horse divers!" One spill on her dress and Grady finds her and Fred together wearing bathrobes! Grady ends up ignoring an evening of roller derby, the Tulsa Titwillows against the San Diego Sapsuckers!
