With his ideas on time as a concept. It is a shame that Peter Hammond never wrote for Doctor Who although he did write for its spin off Torchwood.

From now on the relationship between Steel and Tully is akin to a cat playing with a cornered mouse. Steel even enquiring if Tully has any family.

Sapphire knows what Steel is planning but is unwilling or unable to stop him.

Unbeknown to Tully, Steel is willing to trade him to the darkness. The resentment of time being disrupted will feed it for maybe a millennia. Even Sam Pearce eventually realises that the darkness will never free them, it needs their anger.

The finale and the way Tully is sacrificed by Steel comes as a jolt. I noted that Russel T Davies did something similar in Torchwood: Children of Earth with Captain Jack's grandson.

Assignment Two suffers from the number of episodes. It could easily had been done in six. Still despite the low budget, it is very atmospheric and claustrophobic.
