Mr. Belding tells Major Slater he served in the National Guard and was stationed in Indiana. It's the only time he mentions Indiana on the show. Mr. Belding was the principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School in Indianapolis on Good Morning, Miss Bliss.
At this point in the series, orange lockers appear. However, they are in a different part of the school. But it is the main hallway set redressed. The orange lockers would replace the red lockers later in the second season.
