I really don't know what to think about this story. A drama or a comedy flick. I would say some kind of character, not psychological, study but that remains too much light hearted for this. Those three men put behind bars in a Latin America country in revolution deserved a better story telling. I also guess that it was a modern topic for this period of the early sixties. But the overall scheme, with romance elements involved is a typical American piece of work.
