DeForest Kelly takes of in a hurry in his private plane. He is a bit careless and has to eject from the plane. He's out in the desert somewhere, at least they think he is. Other than the usual wifely disdain for science, the regular plot shows a computer being used to analyze his flight patterns based on messages he has sent in order to find where he is. That's pretty much the plot. There is lots of stock footage of helicopters and planes looking for him. Of course, eventually they must embrace the science and hope for the best. It's just that there is literally no suspense in this episode. The whole thing is thrown out there with a ho hum feeling. It does set the stage for the future when sensors and computerized search vehicles become second nature.
