This episode features a guest appearance by Sir Ralph Richardson and Sir John Gielgud, who were performing in Toronto at the time. The show's writers found two British stage legends to be extremely difficult, turning down ideas, in particular anything that insulted Shakespeare. The actors finally proposed a short sketch based on their interests: Motorcycles (Richardson) and crossword puzzles (Gielgud). After the show had been taped the producers discovered the actors had been paid twice by mistake and suggested SCTV have them on again. Remembering the unpleasant experience, the writers decided to just let the two actors keep the money.
