"It was a million to one chance, doc... a million to one."

Season 6, Episode 20, "The Fusilli Jerry"

Much like episode 19 and the entirety of the latter season 6, "The Fusilli Jerry" relies too much on gags and too little on good writing, which was the staple of seasons 4 and 5, but it's so funny that it's impossible not to love it. Once again, none of the leads are at their best; Kramer, in fact, is shockingly sane and nowhere near as funny as he can be, even in the latter seasons. Elaine and George both have their moments though. And the ones who really make the episode are Estelle Harris and Jerry Stiller, both outrageously hilarious as George's parents. Almost as importantly, the episode features the first appearance of Patrick Warburton as David Puddy, the closest thing the series had to a steady romantic interest other than the infamous Susan Ross. His character is surprisingly normal though, and will become much more over-the-top later on.

Million to one shot Doc , million to one

Warning: Spoilers
Seinfeld took on another one that could have been vulgar and tacky but found the right tone. It's actually two for one here. The first thing is the " move " centers on creativity on the bedroom. Jerry claims auto mechanic David Puddy stole his move and used it on Elaine. The thing is Puddy is also considered the only honest mechanic in New York and Jerry decides that is worth more than anything connected with sex! George uses it but it all goes wrong.

Estelle gets an eye job because she's " out there " ! Kramer picks her up using his new license plate that says Assman ! It's not his but he takes advantage of it! He actually finds the right owner when the four have to take Frank to a proctologist after he falls on Kramer's creation made of Fusilli pasta . None of this sounds like it would work on paper but the writing, acting and directing hit the right tone and the pacing is perfection. It's hard to imagine another show making either one of these work Seinfeld makes both plots not only funny without being crass but makes the two plots meet at the end .

Jerry's Stolen Move

Warning: Spoilers
I feel like this is a classic Seinfeld episode that often gets overlooked. The title of the episode is such a small portion of the overall story arc that often times, I won't even connect with the remainder of the plot. Kramer's license plate and the antics surrounding it is top notch and delivers some great one-liners. All the characters vague descriptions and steps to "The Move" really wrap it in an aurora of mystery that makes this episode work way better than if they outright told the audience what exactly was occurring (and who knows if the FCC would even allow it)! This episode's nearly flawless and hey, we get to see Puddy for the first time!

The Move
Hitchcoc26 January 2023
This all begins with Elaine having sex with a former friend of Jerry's. It turns out that the guy used a "move" on Elaine during the process. This leads to some great wordplay among the characters. Jerry is upset because the guy used his methods. Meanwhile, George's mother has decided to have eye work done, Kramer gets a vanity license plat that has ASSMAN on it, which leads to act on those words. They were actually intended for a proctologist. There are some great visual comedy bits, plus the whole business of "The Move" and the "Swirl." Kramer makes a statue of Jerry, the comedian, out of Fusilli. It finds its way to an interesting place.

Once again the guest character actors steal the show

As with most of the entire run of Seinfeld, all the character actors who are not "the big four" are funnier than the stars, constantly and consistently. In this case, the DMV lady and the security officer. Stars....get over your big egos and realize the show's success rests with the "little people". Fusilli

Warning: Spoilers
The Fusilli Jerry set the world alight when it debuted in 1995, and it's hard to believe that was nearly 30 years, and yet it continues to set the world alight with its moves and all, and George gets into trouble because he has crib notes for his "complicated move" which are not the "S. A.T.'s". Kramer's licence plate was hilarious for sure, and the trivia indicates there was rising popularity in that participate number plate. Anyway, I'm enjoying re-watching many of the Seinfeld episodes I first first watched when it debuted all those years ago, and Seinfeld lives on for generations to come init.
