Salmon sandwich.....
rodinnyc7 March 2022
The whole business about George's bromance with Tony is very funny given how it's been established how George has homosexual panic at the thought he might be turned on by a guy....as in the masseur in another episode. "IT moved."

The George character is perfect in this....from the backward cap to the offer to go bowling to the offer to make sandwiches for the rock climbing trip. And jealous that Kramer will take time away from him and Tony.

When after.... he's told to "step off" and George's plaintive, oh, Tony, no...

for a show that played around with gay themes before it was cool to do so and to do so with such an obnoxious character as George in so resolutely a heteroseuxal show....ground breaking. After all Ellen's horrible sitcom got cancelled when she came out.

An average looking guy, Jerry was able to have one beautiful woman after another romancing him each week. Talk about suspending disbelief. Kramer and George too.

Overall all very funny, I wish they'd brought Tony back for at least one more episode.

this is one of my best - the 12th in season five and number 76. I mark my favorites

Each one of the four is a star in this one and that's what makes it one of the very best episodes.

This episode is really juicy. Elaine is in some toilet and ran out of toilet paper so she asks the lady in the next stall if she can give her any and the other lady answers : " can't spare a square" and leaves Elaine to her problem. Later on the lady turns out to Jerry's new girlfriend and when Jerry knows, he tries to keep them away from each others until one day Elaine buzz Jerry and comes all of a sudden while the Jane (the lady from the stall) is with him and here comes the very funny part - Jerry tells Jane that her mouth smells very bad and gives her like so much gum to change her voice pitch. Kramer asks Jerry to use his phone and the latter accuses him of using the phone for sex. When Kramer gets to meet Jane and hears her voice, he tells Jerry that her voice is similar to sex-phone girl Erika but Jerry doesn't believe him so Kramer tells him that he has a date with Erika so to prove to Jerry that she is Jane. Now Elaine's boyfriend is so handsome and Jerry doubts that Elaine is only going out with him because he is attractive. George becomes friend with Tony and when they two plans to go climbing together, Kramer comes in and it turns out that Tony invited him. George of course being hysterical and sick and of course my favorite character reacts jealously because he thinks that Kramer might become more friends with Tony than him. So they go climbing and Tony asks Kramer to tie the robe for him but Kramer gives this mission to George and distracts him by asking for food so Tony goes up unaware of the robe untied and falls on the rocks. Elaine afraid that this can deform his face in one way or another rushes to him and he tells her that the doctor can't tell now if his face will be damaged permanently or not. And there are so many more. Just two words for you : Watch it.

Beyond Funny
Hitchcoc6 October 2022
Where to start. It begins with Elaine, while at a movie, sitting on the toilet next to another woman. There is no toilet paper and she asks this lady for some, but she refuses saying she needs it all. Elaine begins to negotiate for a single sheet and can't get it. It turns out the woman is Jerry's new girlfriend. This is going to get bloody. We then meet Elaine's boyfriend who is this brainless hunk. George is totally taken with him and they become fast friends. Until they go rock climbing (along with Kramer). There is a bit with sandwiches that is hilarious. Also, Kramer has been doing phone sex and he later recognizes the voice. This is a series of remarkably funny events. Don't miss this one.

"I don't have a square to spare... I can't spare a square."

Season 5, Episode 12, "The Stall"

What a perfect, endlessly quotable episode. One of the best of season 5 and one of the best in the series overall.

As is often the case with the best Seinfeld episodes, "The Stall" is four stories that are one, and other than the four core cast members, only two "girl/boyfriends-of-the-week" actually make an appearance. For once, George and Elaine are the big stars, and Jerry and Kramer provide the more level-headed players in the story.

"The Stall" is one of Seinfeld's most quotable episodes - almost every line in it is timeless. And Jane and Tony make for two of the most memorable and hilarious one-time characters in the show's run.

"Yeah... for a while"

A great episode with a few flaws.

For starters, I don't see the point behind making Jane, Jerry's girlfriend of the week, a phone-sex woman. In the end it doesn't leave any explanation or good resolution, so it only seems like a cheap way to connect the stories. Aside from that, it is not as funny as other classics from this season.

That being said, this episode does some good things. Tony is one Elaine's best boyfriend of the week and his story with George and Kramer is hilarious. We also get a look at a more superficial and flawed side of the Elaine character. The Jane story shines when it revolves around Jerry and Elaine and not around Kramer. Seeing Jerry trying to set Elaine and Jane apart is really funny and the few interactions these two have are the highlights of the episode.

Another great addition to the ever evolving Season 5.

You can't spare 3 squares?

Another classic Seinfeld. Mainly because with each scene they take their time.

March 18th 2023rd.

What is this episode about?: George has a man crush on cool boy Tonyah hey hey Tonyah.

Kramer does the phone sex stuff with a mysterious female.

Elaine is superficial about Tonyah hey, hey Tonyah's facial features. Plus dukes with the Mysterious Female.

Jerry tries his best to keep his lady friend from elaine because she might be the mysterious female.

Story and Production: A fun, rollercoaster of an episode.

Many iCONIC moments in this episode.

Highlight: The lady couldn't spare 3 squares... Jerry saying Tonyah Hey, Hey Tonyah

Laugh Meter: 10

Girlfriend Attractiveness level: 10

What can be learned?: Never go rock climbing if you have a god like face.

Verdict: Cool episodes, it spared 23 minutes.

Warning: Spoilers
Ruth Cohen appeared in over 100 episodes of Seinfeld, playing the role of Ruthie Cohen. In most of her roles she played an employee of the Diner where Seinfeld and Co dined, so it's a worthy achievement for sure.

Anyway, here it's the stall that causes Elaine to reek revenge at the end and it was so funny. Jami Gertz guest stars in The Stall, and we also get phone chats and all. It's hard to believe this episode, The Stall, debuted 30 years ago, yet its timeless. I first watched Seinfeld when it debuted in the 1990s, and I'm enjoying re-watching some of the episodes again after all this time.
