Amazing Episode

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode a lot more than most of the episodes in Season 1. The idea of dating younger men is really hip among contemporary projects since the late 90's. I think it is because we are becoming more open about relationships and realizing that gender and age don't really matter when you lust for or love someone.

I thought that the realization Carrie has about men being a drug was the best part of the episode. It was that moment in which the audience realized with her that it isn't about their age, their job, or even if they like you back, it is about the fact that all romantic relationships make you feel like you're floating on air and that feeling is addictive.

Carrie seemed to be dating the younger man for validation in herself though, where as Miranda just wanted someone who wouldn't challenge her. I think the reasons behind the girl's choices in men where a little unreasonable and over the top, but it wouldn't be SATC if there wasn't something drama-queen like in the story line.

Dating younger guys...
Lady_Targaryen4 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Carrie and Mr. Big, after always seen each other by accident in all the places they go, decided to go out together. Carrie,Samantha,Charlotte and Miranda are all in one of the coolest restaurants of New York, and after a long time waiting for Mr. Big to come for their date, Carrie decides to give attention to Sam, a guy in his twenties who is a friend of the chef Jon,another guy in his twenties that Samantha is going out. Carrie starts seeing the advantages of going out with a younger guy, like the fact that they always know everybody, has cute bodies and butts, and are not complicated and full of annoying habits like the older guys.Mr. Big for example, makes everything complicated for him and Carrie in all their first dates. Miranda tells that is all about sex, but Carrie thinks if she could make the relationship go ahead.

But Samantha's and Carrie's interests will not last very much, specially when Samantha sees that dating a younger guy she will always be the ''old one'' and Carries stays disappointed with the type of place Sam lives and his subjects to talk.
