Shaft's friend Laura Parks (a welcome return from Judie Stein from this show's first ep, "The Executioners") is about to get married and John will be a witness. But at the same courthouse, a mob informant is supposed to also show up guarded by Lt. Rossi and his men. I'll stop there and just say this was quite an exciting ep of "Shaft" with Clu Gulager playing the antagonist. Oh, and I also have to mention that familiar player from the Jack Hill/Pam Grier movies during this time-Sid Haig-appears as a bodyguard. So it was with this seventh and final ep that Richard Roundtree moved on to other characters but Shaft continues to be his best known. So much so that when a 2000 movie called Shaft came out, he'd reprise it but since he's much older by then, he's not playing the main character, Samuel L. Jackson is. And it's that version that I'm reviewing next...
