A kid who did time in jail runs into problems with a boy gang headed by a kid named Vinnie (Jack McCulloch).
The Shazam! two-parters are the best episodes of this series and this two-parter is no exception to that rule.
McCulloch was recently interviewed on a Podcast (see Shazam!/Isis Podcasts) and he reveals how he found the dialogue in this hour "cheesy"...which is so true, but the cheesy element is what makes it so good.
McCulloch also explained how the boy gang in this adventure is based on the boy gang seen in the 1961 motion picture: West Side Story. I can see how this is true.
Part two has a different title, not The Past Is Not Forever Part 2, so don't get confused here.
Shazam! is a highly under-rated series that is not known about by many for the simple reason that it was kept on the shelf, away from re- runs, for decades. But it is now available on DVD for you to own and love.
