  Jack Wilde : [follows her]  It wasn't levity. I wasn't joking. I'm absolutely serious. Somebody's trying to kill you, and you have to call this off.

  Elaine : Okay... Now you're bumming me out, Jack.

  Jack Wilde : [spins her around]  Listen to me!

  [she gasps] 

  Jack Wilde : You are in a lot of danger! You have no idea who you're dealing with here.

  Elaine : [takes deep breath]  No. *You*

  [pokes at him with sharp-nail finger] 

  Elaine : have no idea who *you're* dealing with here. This is *my* wedding. It's about *me* and what I want. And I don't care if a ninja death squad bursts through my prize rose bushes and karate-kicks half my guests into the next county. I will *not* call it off.

  Jack Wilde : [yells out]  There was a bomb...!

  [catches himself, glances back to see if someone might have heard] 

  Jack Wilde : There was a bomb on the grounds.

  Elaine : [makes elementary gesture]  Did it explode?

  Jack Wilde : Well...

  [shakes his head] 

  Jack Wilde : No. A little flag popped up.

  Elaine : *Well* then, there isn't any danger, is there? It was probably Yuri's best man, Maharini. Those Kurdministanis are quite the practical jokesters.

  [giggles] 

  Elaine : Or is it Kurdistanis? Or...

  [stumbles over possible combinations] 

  Elaine : Anyway... it's a Stani. A very important Stani.

  [flashes her bulky engagement ring] 

  Jack Wilde : [calling out to her after she walked past him]  Elaine!

  Elaine : [turns back]  Gaylord! We're finished! Our conversation is over.

  [shakes her head] 

  Elaine : And my father should be coming home from the airport very soon. And if you don't wanna be demoted to crossing guard at Arctic Circle Junior High,
