This is the twentieth episode of the third season of the Simpsons and like the last few episodes, it's not the greatest episode but very entertaining. I like to listen to country music from time to time, so this episode is a little up my alley. But I thought the new character, Lurleen Lumpkin is great and her country songs are catchy. I mean after all, she bagged a Homer.
This episode, "Colonel Homer," is about how Homer gets angry at Marge after she embarrasses him at the movie theater so he leaves the house. He goes to the bar where he meets the local waitress named Lurleen Lumpkin and they begin to hit it off after he hears her sing. Lurleen makes Homer her manager and Marge begins to suspect they may be having an affair.
Overall, I always would like myself a country-themed episode and here we got a good one. It's about a man who finds his values, despite his low I.Q. The songs are great and catchy and thus another good episode. I rate this episode 9/10.
