The filming of the live-action segment took so long it forced WABC-TV, where "Live" is taped, to do a newscast from another studio. Disney, who owns ABC and "Live"'s distributor Disney-ABC Domestic Television, acquired the rights to the show in its 2019 purchase of most of 21st Century Fox.
