Such a good episode.

Maybe it's just me, but I cried through the whole episode practically! I don't know why this one was so moving to me, but I thought it was a great example of what could be done with the premise of the show. Plus, I thought the acting, sets, etc, all seemed really high quality, and there didn't seem to be much of the corny dialogue that typically characterizes 'Sliders'.

I think one thing that made the episode so interesting to me was the subject matter of parenting and formative experiences. You always want to help young people develop and be as good as possible, but it's never really clear how to make that happen. Seeing the passion Quinn displayed in this episode, in spite of what everyone else thought, was very interesting and moving to me.

The Best Slide
NickBOKC24 January 2022
This episode is the best slide, thus far. The group lands on a world where time moves differently, so instead of 1996, we see them in 1984. The professor has a few life-affirming adventures with Wade and Rembrandt, but this story centers around Quinn and a younger version of himself, Little Quinn. It's truly a heartfelt episode, and the twist ending with the bat was remarkable. I didn't see it coming. Many of us wish we could go back and help guide our younger selves to a better outcome, and Quinn did just that despite the apprehensive group not knowing what he was trying to change. Highly recommend this episode!

Back to the Quantum Leap

If you're going to copy, copy from the best! A great mix of Back to the Future and Quantum Leap. Quinn helps "make what once went wrong right" for his younger self. I expected Marty McFly and Sam Becket to show up. Being a nerdy kid who was bullied I can relate to this episode very much. I wrote a story where the opposite happened, time is accelerated in a Global Warning. "Hoping the next Slide(leap) will be the leap home" Maybe Sam Becket and Quinn Malory will meet and help each other get home, because " there is no place like home." "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." Isaac Asimov (Foundation)
