A group of aliens follows Jadzia Dax and then overpower her. They try to take her of the ship and commander Sisko is only barely able to stop the ship from flying off. Their leader introduces himself as Ilon Tandro from Klaestron IV. He has a warrant for Jadzia, as Curzon Dax is accused of murdering his father, a famous general, thirty years ago and of treason. While Sisko tries to stall her extradition by calling in a Bajoran juror, Dax seems not even willing to defend herself. Sisko tries to convince the judge Curzon and Jadzia are not the same person and sends Odo over to Klaestron IV to investigate. Written by Arnoud Tiele (imdb@tiele.nl)

The hearing as a means to delay the extradition of Jadzia Dax in order to find evidence for her defense would be unnecessary. Even if the Klaestron IV representative was correct that they could conduct a "unilateral" extradition, the assault on Bashir would provide Sisko the right to hold their entire team for trial rendering moot the need for the hearing since they could not transport Dax while in custody for assault. Lieutenant Jadzia Dax: When one of my kind stumbles, Benjamin, it is a mistake that's there forever. I can't tell you which part of Curzon Dax couldn't stop himself from acting shamefully with another man's wife. I can tell you that he did love her - for whatever that's worth.
Commander Sisko: Enough to kill her husband?
Lieutenant Jadzia Dax: So you are questioning?
Commander Sisko: What else can I do?
Lieutenant Jadzia Dax: Nothing, Benjamin. Nothing at all.

Widow Actress
24 April 2019 | by ozzygrl-58714See all my reviews

How you gonna have the same actress play a different character in the Star Trek Universe? The same woman who plays the widow of the murdered man in this episode plays Dr. What's-Her-Name (Data's "mom") in Next Gen. I'm guessing this is not the only time this happens in the franchise, but on principle I'm not cool with it. Entertaining episode though!
