Patrick Stewart only appears in the first observation lounge scene. This was due to Stewart's being scheduled to Patrick Stewart/Salt-N-Pepa (1994) during the same week of filming.
The final appearance of Brian Bonsall as Alexander Rozhenko. Alexander would eventually reappear in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), but played as an adult by Marc Worden.

The Vodrey Nebula was named after a huge fan who wrote in to suggest the use of the name Kearsarge, after the famous Civil War steam sloop.
Armin Shimerman makes his first (and only) TNG guest-appearance as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993)'s Quark. It is actually his fourth appearance in TNG. He previously played other Ferengi characters in The Last Outpost (1987) and Peak Performance (1989), and a Betazoid Gift-Box in Haven (1987). He would also appear as Quark in Caretaker (1995), and in a scene cut from Star Trek: Insurrection (1998).
