- [B'Elanna kisses Tom on the cheek]
- Tom Paris: What's that for?
- B'Elanna Torres: For taking care of me, even when you didn't know who I was.
- [she smiles, then punches him in the arm]
- Tom Paris: Ow! What was THAT for?
- B'Elanna Torres: Flirting with your customers.
- Tom Paris: I was a victim of mind control.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: It may not have been real, Chakotay, but it felt like home. If you hadn't come after me, I never would have known that I had another life.
- Chakotay: Are you sorry I showed up?
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Not for a second.
- Neelix: You know, sometimes food is like time travel. You inhale an aroma, take a bite of something and suddenly - bam! - you're back at the moment you first tasted it.
- [as The Doctor tries to bring B'Elanna's memories back]
- Neelix: I wish I could help.
- The Doctor: Maybe you can. She'll require several treatments. In between, you could expose her to familiar sights and surroundings.
- Neelix: Say no more. I'll take her on a whirlwind tour of her own life.
- [Chakotay re-establishes his human appearance]
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: We're the same race.
- Chakotay: We're more than that. We're friends.
- Neelix: What're you reading?
- B'Elanna Torres: Personal logs.
- Neelix: Do you remember recording any of them?
- B'Elanna Torres: Oh, they're not mine. They're Tom's.
- Neelix: Those are supposed to be private.
- B'Elanna Torres: Well, he is my husband.
- Neelix: What are they saying?
- B'Elanna Torres: They're private.
- Neelix: How do you feel?
- B'Elanna Torres: It's still a little foggy.
- Neelix: That fog should lift as soon as The Doctor finishes your treatments.
- B'Elanna Torres: Yeah... but what about the guy who recorded these logs?
- Chakotay: You're obviously a very capable woman. You could probably run that power plant.
- Captain Kathryn Janeway: Why would I want all that responsibility?
- Yerid: Why would this Tuvok be collecting information about his coworkers?
- Seven of Nine: I don't know, but the name on one of those files is B'Elanna Torres.
- [Yerid looks up]
- Seven of Nine: They both began working at the plant on the same day, along with 136 others, including myself.
- Yerid: What's unusual about that?
- Seven of Nine: More than a hundred skilled employees, most of them the same species, acquired in a single day... during a labor shortage? You'll also note that every one of them was processed with the Central Hospital when the arrived.
- Yerid: It's routine for new workers to be examined.
- Seven of Nine: Yes, by Quarantine Control, but everyone on this list - all of them - were processed through Division 6.
- Kadan: The true public health threat is the labor shortage, and the only cure is to find more skilled workers.
- Yerid: There are some other patients I'd like to interview.
- Kadan: These people can't be disturbed.
- Seven of Nine: I suggest you comply.
