To be honest, I didn't recognize the famous actor playing the bum. The make up department did an excellent job with the fake whiskers, and the famous actor famous for his precise diction did a great job of acting like an inarticulate bum. Hopefully he got to keep the watch Lord gave him at the end as a memento of his performance.
I like plots that take place during the course of a night, so I enjoyed this film noir-ish episode. Put Warren Oats and his contorted sweaty face in dirty back alleys, smoky bars and a bug infested jail cell and you got a winner.
I think this is the first episode I have seen up to this point in which there are no rodeo scenes. Sometimes even cowboys need a break from their routine.
