Shopgirl Angela Lansbury is in love with her boss John Sutton, but is unaware that he is one of a trio of bank robbers who separated after escaping. He loses an umbrella which he had with him at the scene of the crime,and becomes frantic to get it back. With one of the two other men (John Abbott) arrested, he fears that it's only a matter of time before things catch up to him, and it's his paranoia that will give him away. But will his girlfriend, the always delightful Lansbury, turn him in if she got suspicious? She has her own little legal issue though, even though there were extenuating circumstances surrounding that. An intriguing little British set crime drama with fine performances by Sutton and Lansbury. My only issue is that there really isn't a conclusion, only a hint of what could happen because of clues dropped earlier. This one definitely could have used a good half hour more to show how the plot was correctly wrapped up.
