Professor Peterson : Do you remember those meter fragments I had a while back? The ones you threw into outer space?

Superboy : How could I forget? Every time I got near them, I felt like I was dying.

Professor Peterson : [unveiling a laser] Well, before we disposed of them, I managed to isolate some of the unique radiation that proved to be so... so deadly to you.

[putting his arm in place]

Professor Peterson : Now, hold it right there.

Superboy : This is going to hurt, isn't it?

Professor Peterson : [turning it on] It might.

Superboy : Nothing.

Professor Peterson : [increasing the intensity] Just wait.

[after a moment, Superboy groans in pain]

Professor Peterson : Ah, don't move. Don't... don't touch it.

Superboy : [watching him take a skin sample] I guess it worked.

Professor Peterson : [amused laugh] I think that's a fair assumption.
Lt. Harris : I'm glad to see you on your feet, Superboy. You up to a few questions?

Professor Peterson : I don't want to delay getting him to my office to check him out.

Lt. Harris : You kidding? Check out Superboy?

Professor Peterson : He was unconscious, Lieutenant. Why take chances? I'm sure your questions can wait.
Superboy : I tried to tell you, professor, it's the way I am.

Professor Peterson : The term is "invulnerable." But if I don't get some kind of sample, we'll never determine what you're made of.
