- Lois Lane: Flash, do you really think you stand a chance against the Man of Steel?
- The Flash: [derisively] "Man of Steel." Feet of lead!
- Lois Lane: May I quote you?
- The Flash: You can do more than that, doll. How about an exclusive after the race?
- Lois Lane: A fast worker, eh?
- The Flash: Just watch me. I'll run circles around this superslug.
- Mayor: Thank you both for participating in this charitable event. The rules of the race are simple. The first man to circle the globe 100 times will be declared the fastest man alive. These electronic bands will allow us to track your progress by satellite.
- Jimmy Olsen: Aw, this is gonna be great. Superman's gonna shred that guy from Central City.
- Lois Lane: Don't bet on it, Jimmy. There's a good reason this guy's called the Flash.
- Jimmy Olsen: Oh, yeah? Well, if he's so swift, where is he?
- [the Flash speeds by, blowing Jimmy's photograph out of his hand]
- Jimmy Olsen: Hey!
- General Richter: Believe it or not, he calls himself the Weather Wizard. Here's his latest message.
- Weather Wizard: You've just witnessed a small display of the powers at my disposal. Unless you transfer $1 billion into my overseas account within the hour, the forecast will be decidedly gloomy.
- The Flash: Hey, I know this yahoo. His name's Mark Mardon. He's an extortionist.
- Superman: Didn't he threaten to blow up the metro tunnel?
- The Flash: Yeah, but I put a stop to that.
- Superman: But the money was never recovered.
- The Flash: Hey, what do you want? I ran a couple of million miles just to find him. No way is this guy going back in business. No way!
- [speeding away, then coming back]
- The Flash: You coming or not?
- General Richter: Nimbus tracking station.
- Weather Wizard: Batten down the hatches, General. There are stormy skies ahead.
- General Richter: Who is this?
- Weather Wizard: You may call me the Weather Wizard. And for my first trick, I suggest you watch the skies off the coast of northern Australia.
- General Richter: Is this some kind of joke?
- Weather Wizard: [ending the call] This should get their attention.
- Ben Mardon: You see, Mark? It works, just like I said it would. The problem's always been generating enough high-velocity ionic energy, but the armbands solved all that. Now Superman and Flash are generating all the ionic energy we'll ever need. And thanks to you, they don't even know...
- [he cowers as Mark moves to hit him]
- Mark Mardon: [taking the weather wand instead] Shut up! Get this through your thick head, little brother. We don't want to call attention to ourselves yet, though the time is fast approaching. Just sit back and watch the show.
- Superman: How did Mardon know where we were? Freezing us at the speed we were going would take pinpoint accuracy.
- The Flash, Superman: [realizing] The armbands!
- Superman: [taking his off and using his x-ray vision on it] Yeah, there's some sort of device in here besides the tracker.
- The Flash: At least your brain's faster than your feet.
- Weather Wizard: Superman.
- [zapping him with his wand]
- Weather Wizard: You shouldn't have come here. Your powers are nothing compared to mine.
- [zapping him again]
- Weather Wizard: You should have heeded the storm warning, Superman.
- The Flash: There's been a change in the weather.
- Ben Mardon: Please, Mark, I'm begging you. I made this machine to help people.
- Weather Wizard: And I paid for it to make a profit.
- Ben Mardon: But threatening an entire city? I never thought that you'd...
- Weather Wizard: Oh, please. Don't play innocent with me. You knew my intentions. You didn't wanna believe them. The machine was too important to you.
- Ben Mardon: Not that important. I won't be a party to mass murder.
- Weather Wizard: You want out? Fine.
- [opening a door]
- Weather Wizard: Go.
- Ben Mardon: Just like that?
- Weather Wizard: Just like that.
- The Flash: [after Superman frees himself from a block of ice] Bravo. Bravo.
- Superman: But how did...
- The Flash: I just vibrated my body 'til I melted through.
- [licking his finger and "putting it out" on his butt]
- The Flash: Tss! Hot! Now, if you're ready...
- [speeding away, then coming back]
- The Flash: Uh, sometime this century?
- Weather Wizard: Word travels fast. Oh, well. They served their purpose.
- Ben Mardon: No, you can't!
- [Mark glowers]
- Ben Mardon: I-I... I mean, I know that I agreed to let you use the machine first, but, it's just, well... well, killing? Isn't that going too far?
- Weather Wizard: Grow up.
